Overview

Exploring career opportunities at Nexans through our interactive film.

We partnered with Hodes to create an exciting interactive film that reframed Nexans as a dynamic, surprising employer and innovator, rather than just a boring “cable company”. This choose-your-own-adventure experience gave viewers the agency to explore the exact projects that intrigued them, powered by smooth branching tech, cinematic production, and strategic distribution.

nexans story

You won't believe where Nexans cables can take you.

The animation takes you on a journey through some of Nexans projects. Starting the tour in the Nexans hub, you’re greeted by a charming Robot named Ena. After your introduction, you enter the pod ready to start your adventure! This is an interactive experience which allows you to choose where you want to go – from down under across the vast Australian wind farms to lively Chicago in the midst of a thunderstorm, you can even have a swim with the fish if you fancy.

production + tech

Stunning photo real environments with seamless interactivity

Crafting over 10 photo realistic environments, pod simulations, a robotic character and HUD graphics, required the vast majority of skills from our internal studio. All environments and character animation were designed and built from scratch in C4D and rendered in Redshift and to achieve the realistic look of the landscapes we used real time animation through World Creator. Much of the work was done in post-production where we designed and built all the pod dash information which has also been tailored to each specific location.

Using seamless scene transitions powered by an interactive video platform, users could explore projects ranging from underwater cabling to aerospace solutions, with personalized routes encouraging repeat engagement. The experience was supported by a multi-platform media campaign that drove viewers to specific scenes, making the film not only immersive but strategically targeted.
